Zum Hexenstübl in Zossen

We were registered in a larger group. Despite the actual closing time, we were warmly welcomed and the food was tasty and freshly prepared. The children were also served first, which is very reasonable. I've seen it differently. Since the kitchen cannot work with full staff at the moment, it took a little longer. But everything within the framework. In the end, the Hexenstübl team took good care of us. Thanks again.

Well, it was okay, but doesn't have to be a second time

We were here at 5.15pm ... got something to eat. Unfortunately there are apparently too few guests, so the restaurant closes at 6:00 p.m. We liked it, Berliner Molle was delicious too.

We have been coming to this campsite for the 4th year in a row and not just once a year. We love the absolute tranquility, the extensive forests and nature here. The campsite is (as described on the internet) a nature campsite. That also means that there are small twigs and cones on the sandy paths and that (as many criticized) there are no concrete paths. Hence the word "nature camping". The entire facility is operated by 2 people who lovingly take care of the "Hexen-Stübl" restaurant and pamper their guests with delicious, freshly prepared dishes. The fact that one or the other guest has to be patient for 5 minutes longer when the restaurant is fully occupied should not lead to negative criticism. After all, you have vacation or the time to be pampered with pleasure. Nor can I understand the many critical remarks about the place. As already mentioned, the place is run by 2 people, who often also receive family support. Each of the "critics" should ask himself whether he would be willing to deal day in and day out with the restaurant, cleaning work on the sanitary facilities, renovation and maintenance of the square, restoration and repair of devices and showers after alleged destruction of individual guests and visitors, Supervision of the day campers, rental and cleaning of bungalows as well as all other wishes of the guests and visitors. So that not everything can be "perfect" in one corner or the other should therefore make sense. Especially since many caravans and parking spaces (including boats) belong to long-term campers and therefore do not fall under the operator's obligation to renovate. So I would say that the price-performance ratio fits very well here and if you love nature and the forest, if you are looking for peace and relaxation and if you want to eat delicious food where everything is freshly prepared (and NOT in the microwave), that should get a picture for yourself here. Can unfortunately confirm the negative reviews. The behavior of the owners made you feel more like a disruptive factor than a guest. Unfortunately, agreements such as an ordered dinner were not kept spontaneously without justification. On the day of departure, a certain amount of time was knocked on completely unnecessarily, which meant that you had to stay longer on the premises because the deposit was still open. Instead, the owners got in the car right under our noses and drove off. Driving towards us provocatively quickly and braking extra late ... The facility is beautifully quiet in the forest, directly on the lake, which is within walking distance of the site. The equipment of the bungalows is rather spartan, but perfectly ok for a weekend. A small cupboard kitchen with everything you need is available. Breakfast was good too. Perhaps in the future there will be a rethink among the owners in order to exploit the potential of the facility and the location.

Unfortunately, the many negative reviews are not exaggerated and reflect the real circumstances. It's a shame that the owners see the many, I believe, really well-intentioned tips from the guests only as a personal attack and not as an occasion for changes .... Unfortunately, the long justifications with inappropriate comments and details that violate data protection do not change the facts ... Something is wrong with the overall concept here, if I feel like a disturbing object as a guest and then should be brought up by countless rules, rules and prohibitions that certainly make sense but also a lot of nonsense, I think my parents managed this well. In summary, I can only say it's a shame for the beautiful spot on earth and the facility with a lot of potential. In spite of everything, I wish the operators all the best and every success in the implementation of all their projects? !

We were rented with 13 people for 2 nights in 6 bungalows. The condition of the bungalows was very questionable. Everything kind of provisionally built together. Such as. E-system on photo. A compost heap with egg shells etc. between the bungalows. ancient windows that cannot be opened in the bathroom, the drain in the toilet was black, toilet paper was only sufficient for one evening, sockets lots, etc. No washing-up liquid or a towel to clean the dishes. However, the house rules insist on cleaning the dishes The beach is actually very nice ... if it weren't for a garbage dump with old furniture, an old scrap of construction scales and mobbing campers who watch the "strangers" closely. We ordered and promised dinner long in advance. Only the landlady thought about closing at 4 p.m. on this day - without justification or excuse .. Please consider we were 13 people! The lost sales should then be made up with electricity. Billing takes place via uncalibrated meters, without logging a meter reading upon acceptance, and then at 0.70 € / kWh. There are house rules that should be mentioned that are more suitable for an education camp than for a holiday home. Checking out does not turn out to be uncomplicated, since you have to act according to the mood of the staff .. it can happen that you have to wait 1 hour. The bad overall situation unfortunately led to a bad mood and arguments, in which even our 81 year old fellow traveler was very upset. On the positive side, the breakfast is reasonable for the price. Warm rolls and everything was sufficient.

Beautiful lake, great forest and we are right in the middle. We stayed in one of the bungalows offered for 2 nights and would not come again. The bungalows and the entire area are very shabby. Hygiene standards are a foreign word. What is definitely wrong here is the price-performance ratio. The breakfast was reasonable and good for the price. We would have liked to have eaten in the Hexenstübl in the evening, as announced, but the landlady decided to close without further ado. Overall, hospitality is not capitalized here, very unfriendly staff ensures the appropriate atmosphere in the "HEXEN" wäldchen.

We ate here today. Located in the forest on the campsite. At the entrance there is a sign: Please wait ... as it was over 30 years ago. Extensive day and evening menu. In terms of taste, we didn't quite get our money's worth. We won't go back again.

Were here today by chance to eat with the kids. In itself a beautiful idyllic spot. The food was okay. But: 1) quite rude service, you don't really feel welcome 2) no card payment possible, which m. E. MUST be in Corona times and now it comes: 3) A 300 g XXL schnitzel that we ordered for the kids to share was unfortunately an XXS! So a maximum of 120 g. And that for the price of € 12.50 ... So clear fraud. What a shame...

Delicious food good prices friendly service.

A cozy German restaurant! The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. We each had three different schnitzel variants. Price-performance ratio absolutely great! That was my first visit but definitely not my last :-)

After an excursion with my family, we looked for a suitable restaurant and then came across "Zum Hexenstübl" on the Internet. A small, sweet restaurant in the middle of the forest, which offers indoor and outdoor seating. The service was really friendly. The drinks menu offers all kinds of choices and for schnitzel lovers the menu offers many different schnitzel variations. There is certainly something suitable for everyone there. Other dishes are also offered, but the main characteristic is the schnitzel. The dishes are lovingly and freshly prepared and a feast for the senses. The price-performance ratio fits perfectly here. The portions are not too big, but you can choose from 200g or 300g for the schnitzel. Optionally for the small or big hunger. The younger guests are also catered for, here there is a children's plate with a 100g schnitzel ... which is also good for the little ones. You can choose from various side dishes for every menu: French fries, potatoes, croquettes and fried potatoes. And if you want a dessert afterwards, there is still delicious ice cream. We were absolutely thrilled and can only recommend a visit to the "Zum Hexenstübl".

The Hexenstübl is wonderfully located in the forest ... The food was great ... simply a dream. And on top of that the delicious ice cream ... Simply great ... Friendly service !! I can only recommend everyone to stop there. An unforgettable day. We will be back definitely !!!!!!! Today we were once again in the Hexenstübl and it was beautiful as always. the cleanest and most beautiful lake far and wide but the witches garbage thing with the unfriendly condition and glass on the campground does not invite straight

Very very very rude lady which also runs the campsite, did make us feel very unwelcome. Other guests also raised their eyebrows about the general treatment. The food is ok.

For many years we have always enjoyed coming here. Lovingly designed bungalow and very good food. If you love nature, you also love the campsite. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, you are in the right place. You will be welcomed here as a guest simply great 😁
